Good Afternoon,
Happy last full week of school. I have tried to keep our schedule as normal as possible this week. Tomorrow, Friday, May 28th, students are invited to wear pajamas to school. The kids also asked if they could bring a stuffed animal and blanket. I said yes, as long as they fit in their backpack. *Please return any school ipad chargers that you have. The school will be charging for ipad chargers that are not returned to school. *We cleaned out some of our desks and lockers today. Please make sure to check and empty your child's backpack each night. I will be sending a few things each day, so their backpack isn't too heavy on the last day of school. *I have a few surprises for the kids next week. Also, a reminder that we do not have school on Monday, May 31st. On Tuesday, June 1st, the Albany Fire Department is going to bring a fire truck here and do a presentation for our class. On Wednesday, June 2nd, we will be walking to the Albany Public Library to learn about their summer reading program. Thursday, June 3rd is our last day of school. Thank you for all you do and enjoy Memorial Weekend! Stephanie

Good Afternoon,
We have had another busy week in kindergarten. I have been trying to keep our routine as consistent as possible. I am still in disbelief that we only have 10 days left of school. Please see the notes below. We started Junior Achievement this week. Due to Covid, I have been teaching the program instead of a volunteer coming in. The kids are liking the fun activities that go along with the program. There is a piggy bank and magnet that went home yesterday. These are items that can stay at home. The workbooks will be coming home tomorrow. I will not be sending anymore homework bags home. If you still have one at home, please return it in your child's BEE folder. Thank you for all of your help to make the homework bags a success. As you know, Shadow is our classroom pet. He has now turned into a frog. I am looking for a family that would like to have him as a pet when the school year is over. If you are interested in your child taking Shadow home and keeping him, please let me know by Wednesday, May 26th. I will draw a name on Friday, May 28th. Monday, May 24th: Wear a hat Tuesday, May 25th: Wear red Wednesday, May 26th: Bring a toy from home Thursday, May 27th: Wear your favorite shirt Friday, May 28th: Wear pajamas Monday, May 31st: No School Thursday, June 3rd: Last day of school. Thank you for your continued support this year. Please reach out with any questions or concerns. Stephanie Hello,
I am sure your child told you that there was a sub in our classroom most of the week. My daughter was sick, so I was home with her. She is starting to feel much better, so I hope to be back Monday. Yearbooks were sent home on Thursday. If you did not order a yearbook and you want to, you can call the office to order one. Please return ipads and purple folders on Monday. Thank you to families who have already sent a small rock in. If you have not sent a rock in, please send it on Monday. The kids will be painting them in art next week. We will be talking about careers this week. If you are interested in teaching us about your career, we would love to do a google meet with you! We have times Tuesday-Thursday 9:45-10:15, 11:15-11:30, 2:00-2:30. Please let me know if this is something that you are interested in. In the past, parents have talked about what their day looks like at their job as well as any tools they use for their job. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Stephanie Good Afternoon,
What a great week we have had so far. I honestly think this week has gone faster than any week of kindergarten. Kids are excited to take turns feeding Shadow (our classroom tadpole). They also love watching him change and grow each day. They have enjoyed planting flowers and watching them sprout. Today the kids, paras, art teacher, and music teacher had the best surprise for me. The kids made sunshine masks in art and when I came in from my prep, they sang "You Are My Sunshine." It was such a special moment. Then, they spoiled me with gifts and flowers. This is seriously the sweetest group of kids and paras. The next week is a busy one with some changes. Please see the notes below. Monday: I will be at school but there will be a substitute teacher in our classroom. I will be pulling kids one at a time to do FAST testing. Thursday: I am taking a personal day so there will be a substitute teacher in our classroom. I will be watching my sister graduate from basic training. Friday: At Home Learning Day. I will send home purple folders and ipads. There will be no live instruction on this day. Please reach out with any questions or concerns. Stephanie Good Afternoon,
We had such a fun day in kindergarten! The kids filled the marble jar and voted to eat lunch in the classroom today. They were awesome and had good conversations in here. I have a few photos below. I have a personal safety note in your child's bee folder. Please read through it tonight. Complete the front page and return it tomorrow with your child's name, phone number, and address. There is a menu change for tomorrow (Wednesday). We will be having cheese pizza. Friday, April 23rd students are invited to bring one board game, stuffed animal or toy from home. No electronics should be sent. You should have received an email from Mrs. Schutlz about this. Students are also encouraged to bring 1 rock to school. We will be doing a school wide painting project with the rocks. These rocks will NOT be returned home. Please make sure your child doesn't pick their favorite rock as they will not get them back. Please also send the rock in a baggie with your child's name. Please let me know if you have any questions. Have a great night, Stephanie Good Afternoon,
Students are invited to wear pink tomorrow (Thursday, April 15th) for breast cancer awareness. Friday, April 16th is an At Home Learning Day. I will be sending ipads and purple folders home with your child tomorrow. There will not be any live instruction on Friday. Have a great evening, Stephanie Good Afternoon,
