I will have some new playdoh) Dice Bag with shapes in it Notebook Whiteboard and whiteboard marker Small half folder that has their paper books in it (books can stay home, just return the folder) Intervention bags (only if your child still has one) Scissors Purple “At Home Learning” folder (only if your child still has it) Ipad Ipad charger Headphones Library books The only paper item that students need to return is the “Winter Break Reading Challenge.” It is the hot cocoa reading sheet. All other papers should stay home. Please let me know if you have any questions. Enjoy this special time with your family. Merry Christmas, Stephanie

Good Afternoon,
I have two important things. 1. Students are having "show and tell" tomorrow during our morning meeting. This is meant to be very informal. Students can share a toy, a stuffed animal, a pet, a piece of artwork they made, etc. 2. Report cards will be available in Infinite Campus tomorrow. Below explains our grading system. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank You, Stephanie What is standards-based grading? Standards-based grading communicates how students perform on a set of clearly defined learning targets called standards. The purpose of standards-based grading is to identify what a student knows, or is able to do, in relation to those learning targets. Your child’s performance is measured against the standard, rather than simply being compared to other students in his/her class. There are three levels of achievement for our standards based report card: “Meets” would indicate that a student has independently achieved the end of the year standard. “Developing” would indicate that a student is developing an understanding of the standard, but may still need additional instruction and/or support to meet the end of year standard. “Beginning” would indicate minimal understanding of the standard and require specific instructional intervention/support to meet the end of year standard. Social Studies/Science will be tested third trimester only, therefore a measurement toward those standards will NOT be posted for trimester one or two. Our goal is that your child reach their highest potential using the Minnesota State Standards as our guide. Good Evening,
I hope everyone had a good weekend. I appreciate all of the kind words for me to feel better. Unfortunately, I am still not back to 100%. I will not be doing any interventions this week. Wednesday is an "At Home Learning Day" so I will not be meeting live at all on Wednesday. Students will not meet with specialist teachers on Wednesday. Students do have a packet to work on for Wednesday. Please pass this information to anyone who is with your child during the day. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility. I have attached the plans for the week. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, students will log in at 8:30 and 12:30 each day with me and 10:00 with specialists. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, Stephanie Hello,
I will be working from home this week. I will NOT be doing any interventions on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday and Tuesday, students will only need to log in at 8:30 and 12:30 with me and 10:00 with specials. Wednesday and Thursday students will log in at 8:30 and 12:30 with me and 10:00 with specials. Wednesday and Thursday, I will only be doing MORNING interventions. I will not do any afternoon interventions. Please let me know if you have any questions and thank you for your flexibility. I hope you and your family are staying healthy, Stephanie |
