Good Afternoon,
Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30th, will be our first At Home Learning Day. I will be sending a purple folder home with your child. The directions are all on the front of the folder. Please complete the four items on the left side of the folder and return them to school on Thursday, October 1st. These items need to be returned in order for your child to be counted as present for Wednesday. On the right side of the folder, I have included the October Kindergarten calendar and reading log. These items can be kept at home. I am also sending home a census folder. It is empty, but we have been directed to send them home for students to use at home for an extra folder. You do not need to return the teal census folders. Please let me know if you have any questions, Stephanie

Good Afternoon,
A lot of students were extra tired today. I think it's due waking up early from the storm and the heat/humidity. They may be ready for bed early tonight. We are having a great week learning about colors. It has been so fun to see the kids dress in the color of the day. We have also been working on numbers and started number writing this week. A favorite of students has been watercolor painting. We have received many compliments this week about how well behaved our class is. We have almost filled the classroom marble jar. I am so proud of this group! Next week, we will be having our first Home Learning Day. On Tuesday, I will be sending a purple folder home with your child. In the folder you will find 4 activities to work on September 30th. These folders will be due back October 1st. The activities shouldn’t take more than an hour total. Monday: Wear Blue Tuesday: Wear Purple Wednesday: At Home Learning Day Thursday: Wear Black and White, Return Home Learning Day Folder Friday: Wear Rainbow Please let me know if you have any questions. Stephanie Good Afternoon,
We had another great day of kindergarten! I have a few reminders below: *Photo envelopes are in your child's BEE folder. Photos are next Wednesday, September 23rd. *We had media for the first time today. Each child was able to bring one book home. You can keep this book for two weeks. The next time we have media is Thursday, October 1st. *There is a change in the lunch menu for Thursday and Friday. Thursday will be pizza and Friday will be hamburger. Have a great evening, Stephanie Good Afternoon,
Our first day of kindergarten was a success! We were busy meeting new friends, learning school rules, and of course playing. We also explored with math manipulatives and playdoh, listened to stories, and played outside. The students earned 10 marbles today for such good behavior and listening. This is such a great group of kids! You should be so proud of your child! The only hiccup we had was lunch time. The lunch room was backed up, so we ate a little later than normal. Hopefully tomorrow, everything will run smoother for lunch. I look forward to another great day tomorrow! Stephanie Good Afternoon,
It was so nice to meet you and your child! This is such an exciting time in your child's life! We are going to have a wonderful year together. We are a team, so please reach out with any questions or concerns. A friendly reminder that there is peanut allergy in our classroom, so students are not allowed to pack anything with peanuts or nuts in their cold lunches. Also, please remember to send a filled water bottle with your child each day. Have a great evening, Stephanie Welcome! I am so excited to start the 2020-2021 school year! I look forward to meeting you and your child at the entrance conferences next week. I will be updating this blog weekly once school starts.
Have a great day! Stephanie Dear Families,
We did it! Thank you for an incredible school year! I was so blessed to have your child be in my class this year. I am SO PROUD of each and every child in our class. Everyone made amazing growth. I appreciate all of your hard work this entire school year, especially, the last few months with distance learning. I know this isn't the way we wanted to end the school year, but I am thankful everyone made the best of it. This will definitely be a school year to remember. Thank you for being so welcoming last Thursday and Friday, when I dropped off the awards and bags. It was SO GOOD to see your child! I miss them so very much! Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I will check my email about twice a week during the summer. Happy Summer! Stephanie Sauerer Hello Kindergarten Families,
I hope this email finds you well. I have some important notes for next week below. *I have attached a PDF of next week's schedule and links below. *Please make sure to enter attendance Tuesday-Friday of next week. *If your child did not receive a "mini Mrs. Sauerer" in the mail, please let me know. It has been fun to see all of the photos so far. *Seesaw's premium version is no longer available, so a few parts of Seesaw may look different now until the end of the school year. Nothing is due in Seesaw next week. *We will have our last Zoom meetings on Thursday, May 28th. I will host one at 10:00 and 6:30. I will send the invite out later. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I appreciate everything you have done to make this experience amazing for your child. I hope everyone enjoys the last week of school! Stephanie Good Morning,
It is hard to believe that it is already week 8 of distance learning. I am so impressed with everything you are doing to help your child. I love seeing their work in Seesaw. I have attached the plans for next week. I also attached a story that I shared in my Zoom meetings last week. It is a story about the changes that happened at school this spring. Feel free to read it to your child if you choose. Have a great weekend! Stephanie Hello!
As I am writing this email, it is hard to believe that it is already week 7 of Distance Learning. I am so proud of every single child and family in our class. Everyone is working so hard. I love seeing the pictures, recordings, and activities on Seesaw. I also really love our Zoom meetings. Parents, please reach out if you have any questions or if I can help with anything. I miss your child so much. Please tell them that Mrs. Sauerer misses them and cares about them very much. Happy Mother's Day weekend! Stephanie |
