Good Afternoon,
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we shift to distance learning. We are all in this together. Please know that I would much rather have your child in class with me. I have a few notes about this week below. Your child is coming home with a full backpack. All of their distance learning materials are in their BEE folder, in their pencil box, or in a large ziplock bag. Please find a safe spot to store these items. Your child also has breakfast and lunch for tomorrow. Please make sure to refrigerate these as soon as possible. Tuesday, November 17th and Wednesday, November 18th students do NOT have to log on or do any homework. Thursday, November 19th: We will start distance learning. We practiced logging into Google Meet today. There are directions taped on the back of each child's ipad. Please reach out to me if you have any questions. I will be at school Monday-Friday 7:30-3:15. Stephanie

We had a very busy day in kindergarten. I have a few updates below. *Please make sure to send warm attire with your child each day. Our extra items are very limited at school. Students do go outside for 30 minutes each afternoon. *I will be sending home a peach colored paper labeled, "Wonders Kindergarten Refrigerator copy." This is for you to keep at home. It tells what we are learning in reading. I will be sending one home each week. This week we are on Unit 1, Week 1. *If anyone has any extra Clorox/Lysol wipes, we would love some. I opened the last can this morning. *Conference sign up links will be sent via email later today or tomorrow. This email will come from Mrs. Schultz. Conferences will be Thursday, November 19th and Monday, November 23rd. Each conference will last 15 minutes and will be via Google Meet. Enjoy your day! Stephanie Good Afternoon,
We are having a great week in kindergarten! All of our friends were here today, which hasn't happened in awhile. The kids also filled the marble jar. They voted to have extra outside time tomorrow with Mrs. Sauerer. Tomorrow is their playground day, so they are very excited! On Tuesday, the students had the opportunity to vote. We read a book called, Duck for President. The kids then voted for either Duck or Farmer Brown. We have also been working really hard on teen numbers. Everyone is working so hard on forming their numbers correctly. I am super proud of this group of students! A reminder that we do not have school on Monday, November 9th. Have a great evening, Stephanie Good Evening,
My daughter is feeling better, but I cannot return to school until Monday. I hope the week is going well for your child. They have Ms. Kathy as their sub Monday-Thursday. I am not sure who the sub will be on Friday. I talked to Kathy today and she said the kids are doing pretty well. Please tell your child that I miss them and am excited to see them on Monday. I will send home the November calendar, book order flyer, and reading log home on Monday. Thank you for your understanding. I hope everyone is staying healthy. Have a safe Halloween weekend. Stephanie Good Evening,
My daughter developed a slight cough today, so due to Covid precautions, I will be out for sure tomorrow and Monday. Yearbooks: You can order the elementary yearbook. They can order online at JostensYearbooks.com or turn in money to the Albany Elementary School office with their order. Make sure they have the student's name and grade on it. They are $15.00 each. This information is also listed on our district website, under the Albany Elementary tab. Photo retakes will be on October 27th. If your child wants to have retakes, they should bring their original photos back to school to turn into Ludwig. Please remember to send a water bottle to school with your child each day. Thank you for sending winter attire with your child. I appreciate how well prepared the kids are to play outside. We are celebrating spirit days next week and kids are invited to participate in the days listed below. Monday: Pajama Day Tuesday: Hat Day and Photo Retake Day Wednesday: Wear Red Thursday: Silly Socks/Silly Hair Day Friday: Halloween Costumes and Purple Pride Stephanie Hello!
We wanted to share some tidbits about our upcoming Halloween Celebration. This year we will celebrate this fun day on October 30th. Students ARE allowed to bring costumes from home. Please label this in some way. It is best to wear costumes over clothes as there is limited bathroom space in which to change. Please practice having your child put on costumes! Please leave any make-up, halloween masks, and props at home. Remember, costumes are not allowed to be scary, so please keep these items at home as well. We have gotten word that NO treats, both food and non-food, items are allowed from home. Our PTO will be supplying a treat for each student. This day is also part of our spirit week. All kids are invited to wear purple for Huskies after we take our costumes off. Spirit Week: Monday, October 26th- Pajama Day Tuesday, October 27th- Hat Day Wednesday, October 28th- Wear Red Thursday, October 29th- Silly Socks/Silly Hair Friday, October 30th- Bring costumes, wear purple Hello!
It is a quick week! Students have done a fabulous job earning puppy paws this week. We introduced puppy paws last week. Students can earn them when they are caught being safe, responsible, and respectful. We collect half of the puppy paw in our classroom bucket and the other half is sent home. I am so proud of these kids! Wednesday, October 14th: At Home Learning Day- I will be sending a purple folder home with your child today. These folders and the 3 sheets inside should be completed and returned to school on Monday, October 19th. Thursday, October 15th and Friday, October 16th: No School Have a great long weekend, Stephanie Good Morning,

I am so impressed by the work that I got back today. Thank you so much for helping your child with their work yesterday. Everyone was excited when I read the All About Me pages. It was also fun for me to learn more about them. One of the interesting facts that we learned is that a bunch of students in our class have pet fish. I will be sending home book orders tomorrow. Book orders are due October 8th, if you are interested in ordering. I am super proud of the students for filling the marble jar on Tuesday. They voted to have extra outside time. Tuesday was a great day to have extra time on the playground. Have a great weekend, Stephanie |
