Dear Parents,
We have so many things to be thankful for this time of year. I am so thankful to have your child in our class! I am also thankful for all of the wonderful things that you do to help your child at home! I hope you are able to spend quality time with family over the break. I look forward to seeing the students again on Monday! Stephanie Sauerer Dear Parents,
Your child will be coming home with the Square Art fundraiser TODAY. If you want to order through the paper copy, it is due TOMORROW. (Tuesday, November 21st) If you want to order online, you can order until November 29th. There is detailed information in your child's bee folder today. I just got these from the art teacher this morning. I apologize for the short turn around time. Thank You, Stephanie Sauerer Good Evening,
Good News! They have hired a long term sub for my maternity leave. Baby Sauerer is due December 24th, so I am hoping to teach until December 22nd. Jessica is planning to start after Christmas break and will be subbing for 12 weeks. She will be observing our class the first week in December. She will meet the kids and learn our classroom routines. I will not be telling the students until the first week of December. Below is a little bit about Jessica. "Hi, I’m Jessica Housman! I grew up in Orlando, FL but since 2011, I call Melrose, MN my home. I graduated from SCSU and student taught in Albany in 2014. I and am thrilled to be returning to this district! I LOVE teaching! Outside of the classroom I enjoy listening to country music, going to plays, looking for bargains at garage sales, crafting, going on road trips and exercising. My parents, 3 older brothers, and 6 nieces and nephews, still live in Florida so it is fun to always have a warm place to vacation. My husband and I have a shih tzu named Peeve. He loves the snow, while I’m still trying to get used to it! I am looking forward building a relationship with you and your child. My goal is to make them feel safe while Mrs. Sauerer is out and help foster their love of learning!" Thank You, Stephanie Sauerer Good Morning,
I hope your child is enjoying the day off of school. I look forward to seeing all of the students tomorrow! Please remember to return the family turkey project as soon as you finish it. I LOVE how creative all of the turkeys are so far! Book orders are due Thursday, November 9th. If you want to use these as Christmas presents, please let me know. Trash to Cash: Our school collects Box Tops for Education, Country Hearth Bread Bags, Pop Cans, Pop Tabs, Teals Receipts, and Kwik Trip Milk Caps.
